The unofficial world cup

The sixth edition of the Unofficial Warhammer World Cup has come to a close!

This homebrewed tournament blends competitive “tryhard” Warhammer with the laid-back spirit of classic beerhammer, creating a unique and unforgettable event each year.

Players sign up representing a country of their choice—purely for fun, of course—and fully commit to the masquerade, embracing national rivalries, themed attire, and plenty of in-character banter.

Once registered, participants are randomly assigned into groups of four. These groups function both as teams for Saturday’s quiz and mini-games, and as opponents on the tabletop, battling it out to determine individual placements into the A, B, C, or D playoffs.

On Sunday, the tournament heats up with elimination-style Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and the ultimate showdown: the Grand Final.

This year, we raise our glasses to Germany representet by Thomas Fagerholm, who now join the prestigious ranks of previous champions: Spain, Portugal, Scotland, Colombia, and Holland. Cheers to another year of dice, drama, and diplomacy—see you at the next cup!
