Child Protection and Online Safety
The UK's Online Safety Act 2023 strengthens how websites and online communities must protect children from harm.
While Milarki does not include private messaging, chat rooms, or livestreaming, the act still encourages community platforms like ours to take simple steps to make sure the site remains safe and appropriate for everyone.
What We Do
No direct or private messaging: Users cannot privately contact each other through Milarki. All communication happens through public posts that are visible to moderators.
Community standards: We promote creativity and friendly gaming stories, but posts must stay suitable for a general audience.
Age awareness: While Warhammer is an all-ages hobby, we remind younger players to get help from a parent or club organiser if they post online.
Data protection: We do not request or store unnecessary personal information, and we never share user data for advertising.
Why It Matters
These measures help us stay aligned with the UK Online Safety Act (2023), which requires all online platforms to consider how their services might be accessed by children and to prevent harmful content from appearing.
The new Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill (2024) also highlights community responsibility — encouraging everyone, including gaming groups, to play a part in safeguarding and wellbeing.
Our Commitment
Milarki is a community built on respect, creativity, and shared storytelling. We'll continue to:
- Review community guidelines regularly
- Keep moderation transparent
- Encourage safe, positive participation for all ages
If you ever see content that concerns you, please contact the site moderators directly.
